Bethany Peterson, JD, LLM – Tax, is an associate transactional attorney focused on a variety of business matters, including advising small businesses related to choice of entity, acquisitions, and corporate governance. She focuses her attention on federal income tax planning and compliance matters for small business clients.  In addition, she assists clients with their estate planning needs, including estate and gift tax planning.

Before joining Scharar Law Firm, P.C., Bethany graduated from Southern Methodist University with her Master of Tax Law (LLM).  She received her law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in May 2014. At Texas Tech, she was the founding Business Manager of the Business & Bankruptcy Law Journal where she gained valuable experience in the formation of a tax-exempt organization. She also has a degree in accounting and is in the process of taking the exam to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
